Is this a traditional daycare?
Not at all! Pirate Pup Express is a mobile day trip experience. We pick your pup up at home, take them on an outdoor adventure with a small crew of dogs, and return them happy and tired—no kennels, no indoor cages, just field trip fun.
How do I sign my dog up?

We’ll get your pup’s info, answer any questions, and schedule their first adventure. Smooth sailing from there!
Do you require a trial or temperament test?
While we don’t require a separate meet-and-greet before your pup’s first trip, we do conduct a temperament assessment at the first stop of the day. This allows us to safely introduce your dog to the group in a calm, controlled environment before the adventure begins. We observe each dog’s behavior, play style, and comfort level to ensure the group dynamic is positive. If any pup needs extra space or slower intro, we adjust accordingly – because building trust and safety is always our top priority.
Where do you take the dogs?
We explore a mix of community dog parks around Greenville and nearby towns, as well as exclusive access to private land with secure areas to roam on and off-leash. Each location is vetted for security, shade, and sniff-worthy terrain.
What if my dog gets a little too feisty?
We totally get that every dog has their own vibe – but safety comes first. If your pup shows any signs of aggression or just isn’t connecting well with the pack, we’ll gently remove them from the group and give you a call for early pickup.
What should my dog bring?
Just a well-fitting harness—we provide water, treats, enrichment toys, and plenty of belly rubs. If your pup has any allergies or needs, just let us know in advance!
Can I see photos of my dog during the trip?
Absolutely! We post daily updates and highlight reels on our social media so you can follow your pup’s adventure.
What if the weather is bad?
We monitor weather closely. Light rain? We play! But for storms or extreme heat, we’ll reschedule or shorten the trip for safety.

What is the cancellation policy?
We understand that plans change! If you need to cancel your pup's adventure, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can adjust our crew plans. Cancellations made with less than 24 hrs notice will incur a $15 fee, as last-minute changes impact our routes and availability for other dogs. Thanks for understanding and helping us keep things running smoothly!

What if no one is home at pick-up or drop-off?
No worries - we know life is busy! If you won't be home, we're happy to make arrangements ahead of time to safely access your home or yard. Door code, key, garage entry, etc, we'll work with you to make sure your pup is picked up and dropped off without a hitch.
